1. TLC for your cord blood collection kit

2. Clear communication with your doctor or midwife

It is important to tell your doctor or midwife that you want to collect your baby’s cord blood (cord tissue and placenta) prior to your delivery date so they can prepare accordingly. This is to make them aware of your plan and make sure that they will perform the collection once the umbilical cord is clamped and cut.

After birth, once the umbilical cord is clamped and cut, your doctor or midwife will perform the collection. 4. Wait for the results

It usually takes 3-5 days from the day the sample is received at the lab, to determine the cord blood’s volume, viability and total nucleated cell count (TNCC). And after 4-6 weeks, all tests should have been completed and you will receive a printed testing certificate detailing the results. 5. Settle your balance in time

6. Update your contact details

If there have been any changes in the contact details you provided on the storage agreement (e.g. email address, home address, contact number), it is necessary to let us know so that we can keep our records up-to-date. Our contact details is provided at the back of printed membership cards that will be delivered to you together with the testing certificate.
